| 抄録(和) | 超音波パルス透過法を用いて,左右のウシ大腿骨皮質骨中の超音波伝搬を検討した.左右それぞれのウシ皮質骨の前方部から球状に試料を取り出し,骨軸方向付近を伝搬する音速の分布を詳細に調べた.その結果,左右ともに最大音速の方向が骨軸から後方部に向けてずれていた.また,骨質の指標であるハイドロキシアパタイト結晶配向を測定したところ,同様なずれが見出された.この最大音速の方向およびハイドロキシアパタイト結晶の配向方向は左右対称であった.このような弾性的性質の評価は皮質骨の複雑性の理解につながると考えられる. |
| 抄録(英) | Longitudinal ultrasonic wave propagation in bovine femoral cortical bones was investigated using a conventional ultrasonic pulse system. First, spherical specimens were obtained from anterior parts in the right and left cortical bones. Then, we experimentally investigated the three-dimensional distribution of ultrasonic wave velocity in the vicinity of the bone axis. Directions of the highest wave velocity were not the bone axis. The directions showed tilts of several degrees from bone axis. Moreover, the results from the X-ray pole figure analysis indicated that Hydroxyapatite crystallites orientation also showed similar tilts. The right and left cortical bones showed similar velocity tendency, in addition, the tilts from the bone axis were bilaterally symmetric. These interesting results might lead to an assessment of the complicated elasticity of cortical bone. |
