| 抄録(和) | 高齢者において,歯科パノラマX線写真上で検出される頸動脈の石灰化は動脈硬化の進行と関係があることが報告されている.そのため,歯科パノラマX線写真から頸動脈石灰化領域を検出し,医科への受診を促すシステムの研究が行われている.本稿では,輝度勾配に基づく新たな石灰化領域抽出手法を提案する.ここでは,石灰化領域が周囲の輝度値と比較して,相対的に高いという性質を利用して石灰化領域の位置を検出している.提案手法では,従来法と比較して,設定が必要なパラメータの数を減らしながら,歯科パノラマX線写真上から自動的に石灰化検出を行うことを可能としている.また,処理例から従来の手法と比較して有効な結果が得られることを確認した. |
| 抄録(英) | The existence of carotid artery calcification as an index for arteriosclerosis attracts a great deal of attention. Thus the system for detecting the carotid artery calcification from dental panoramic radiographs has been developed to prompt the patients to check. This paper proposes a new automatic detection method for carotid artery calcification in dental panoramic radiographs based on intensity gradients. This paper focuses on the fact that the intensities of the carotid artery calcification in the radiograph are higher than that in neighborhood. The proposed method can reduce the number of parameters adjusted in advance and the automatic detection method from the entire image can be developed. Experimental results show that good detection performance is obtained. |
