Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The dental radiograph is used for diagnosis and individual identification. In the case of diagnosis, the digital subtraction technique is effective. The geometric deformation between two dental radiographs taken from the same patient is caused by the position of x-ray irradiator. For the digital subtraction technique, the registration of two dental radiographs is required. High accuracy registration of two dental radiographs has been proposed. However, the preprocessing of the registration has not been examined sufficiently. In this paper, we implement the histogram equalization with variable enhancement degree in the preprocessing to improve accuracy of the registration.
