Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The institutionalization of technology assessment (TA) has been failed several times to date while downplaying issues on values and political choice inherent in TA exercise. Japanese technology governance and TA experiences in information and communication provide many suggestions for the modern institutionalization of TA. Referring to such contexts and some cases, this article explores more feasible ways to embed TA functions in the Japanese society. |
