Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In these days, smartphones, such as iPhone, android phone, and windows phone, have spread all over the world, and thus mobile IP telephone services using WLAN as typified by Skype, are quite popular among the users. It, however, brings heavy traffic load in WLANs, and then deteriorates the realtime voice communication quality due to the packet delays and packet losses. In this paper, a dynamic packet control scheme based on Factor R, which is standardized in ITU-T G.107 as an objective voice quality index, will be proposed. In addition, the effectiveness of the proposed method under the environment where the network traffic varies will be discussed.
