Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Japanese sign language (JSL) is one of communication methods for hearing-impaired people in Japan. The sign language animation software, Mimehand II, was developed to support the daily life of hearing-impaired people by facilitating the creation of sign language animation. However, Mimehand II does not have enough functions to create the sign language animation efficiently and to use the sign language animation as language resources. We developed a sign language animation editor implementing three functions to solve these problems. In this paper, we will describe the developed functions and the result of the interview with users about them.
