| 抄録(和) | 先行研究より、人物の第一印象を形成する際にはネガティブな情報の影響を受けやすいことがわかっている。そこで本研究では、第一印象を形成する際に提示する情報に「過去」「現在」といった時間の概念を持たせることでネガティブ情報の影響力を弱められるのではないかと考え、印象評価実験を行った。実験では人物の動画を提示し、特に情報を与えないもの、ネガティブ情報だけを与えたもの、過去の情報としてネガティブ情報・現在の情報としてポジティブな情報を与えたもの、過去の情報としてポジティブ情報・現在の情報としてネガティブな情報を与えたものという4つの実験条件間で印象を比較した。その結果、「社交的な-社交的でない」などいくつかの評定項目において、仮説と一致する結果が得られた。 |
| 抄録(英) | It is said that negative information has stronger impact than positive information on forming the first impression. In our research, we focused on the effect of the time axes of information. We assumed that if a person's past information is negative (i.e., unfaithful) and present information is positive (i.e., happily married), participants would form better impressions comparing to the opposite situation. In the main experiment, participants saw a person on a video and were asked to rate his impressions by semantic differential method. The parson's information were varied among 4 experimental conditions: The participants were given no information, only negative information, positive in past and negative at present, or negative in past and positive at present. As the result of analysis on the impression ratings, our prediction was supported on some items such as "sociable-unsociable." |
