Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have studied the corrosion of metals under coating films. Most equipment parts and structures for telecommunication are made of metals. Coating films on those metals work as resistance. Since metal corrosion is based on electrochemical reactions, the coating is effective for preventing metal corrosion. However, metals might be corrosive if some pinholes or other defects existed in those coating films. Our method can detect the defects with electrochemical technique. With this method, we obtained the possibility of deciding the diffusion limit and corrosion rate thorough acrylic coatings.
