Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) system has been received considerable attentions by its efficient accommodation of users by employing such as adaptive modulation and channel allocation methods. When OFDMA technique applies to the uplink from the user terminal to the base station, Bit Error Rate (BER) performance would degrade relatively due to Inter-Carrier Interference (ICI) and Multi-User Interference (MUI) caused by the occurrence of independent frequency offset in each user transmission signal. This paper proposes MUI and ICI reduction methods, which can achieve the better BER performance even when each user has a different frequency offset. The salient feature of proposed method is to compensate the MUI and ICI by generating the time domain replica signal for each user taken into account the frequency offset and frequency channel response estimated for each user, and subtract them from the received time domain signal. This paper presents the various computer simulation results to demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed method.
