Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As for the MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) transmission scheme, high attention has be paid to the frequency utilization efficiency as an excellent wireless communication system in the multipath propagation channel. However, because the direct wave becomes predominant in the LOS (Line-Of-Sight) propagation channel, there is almost no independent variation of the signals, the signal separation at the MIMO receiver becomes very difficult. Therefore, MIMO in the LOS channel (LOS-MIMO) is known as the remarkable degradation of the channel capacity. In this report, the effect of the channel capacity improvement of LOS-MIMO is examined by setting up the reflector that reflects the signals on the pure LOS channel. The effect of the reflector is clarified by the eigenvalue analysis of 2×2 LOS-MIMO, and the channel capacity increasement is also shown in addition by the computer simulation.
