Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Cooperative relay communication system has been studied as a way to improve reliability of networks compared to conventional direct transmission scheme, where networks can obtain effective spatial diversity gain by source node communicating with not only destination node but also with multiple relay nodes. We consider an amplify-and-forward (AF) cooperative relay communication systems with time-division multiple-access (TDMA). In this system, there is a problem that which relay nodes should be selected and how much power should be allocated to the selected relay nodes. Most of conventional researches on this model have focused on only improving reliability or throughput, rather than saving power consumption of all over the network with maintaining such communication qualities. In this report, we propose a new power allocation scheme for multiple relay nodes using game theory that focuses on not only reliability and throughput but also power consumption. With computer simulation, we show that our proposed game theoretical approach has superiority to conventional optimal power allocation (OPA) scheme from the view point of the balance among three performances, i.e. reliability, throughput, and power consumption.
