Abstract(in English) In case of changing 40Gbps ROADM (Reconfigurable Optical Add Drop Multiplexer) from 10Gbps ROADM, a signal spectrum becomes narrow by passing filter of each node. This causes a big transmission penalty. It is proposed that the penalty is reduced by using electrical pre-equalization. In this paper, we report the result of compensation for spectrum narrowing through multi filter when 43Gbps DQPSK (Differential Quadrature Phase Shift Keying) transmission.
