Abstract(in English) In next generation mobile communication systems, Single-Carrier (SC) transmission using frequency domain equalizer (FDE) is an important technique. Since FDE needs fast Fourier transmissions (FFT) and divisions circuits, circuit size of FDE becomes large. For reducing size of FDE circuit, cutting quantization bits is necessary. But, shortage of quantization bits makes degradation of bit error rate (BER) performance because of quantization error. In this paper, FDE circuit is designed with considering trade off between size reduction effect of quantization bits and degradation of BER performance. Through BER simulation with quantization error, over 13 bit are necessary number of quantization bits in FDE system.
