Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) With so much delayed deployment of IPv6 and coming exhaustion of free IPv4 address pool, we need a easy-to-deploy mechanisms to extend IPv4 address space. PR-IP (Port Restricted IP), to use part of destination port numbers to deliver packets, is such a mechanism with the end to end transparency but amount of extension is limited by port length. TUPLE is a proposal to have TCP and UDP with 6B long port numbers. TUPLE combined with PR-IP will be a long term solution for the IPv4 Internet.
