Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The optical drop cable have been reported that optical fiber breakage due to cicada oviposition around western Japan. The high-strength sheath of flame-retardant obtained from the results of the cicada oviposition tests and simulation test of cicada oviposition, we developed new cicada-resistant drop cable of 1, 2, 4 and 8-fiber. New cicada-resistant drop cable have consistency with existing tools, workability, cable characterisitics than conventional it. We report about characterisitics of it.
