Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In the study, we dealt with a situation where a sharp end-effector of a robot attacked eyes of a worker who sat in front of the robot. To investigate human harm-avoidance behavioral characteristics in the situation, we conducted psychological experiments for human-robot coexistence systems. In the experiments with safety measures taken, the end-effector of the robot suddenly approached the eyes of participants who worked on two types of tasks which corresponded to ones at a production site. We defined avoidance reaction time (RT) as an interval from the moment the end-effector of the robot began to approach a participant till the instance he/she began to response, and estimated for evaluation the probability distributions in regard to the avoidance RT.
