Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | When a square translates in a circle and vertices of the square are hidden by occluders, The physical motion of not-occluded contours of the square is sinusoidal oscillation in the direction normal to contours' orientation. Though we can mainly perceive the moving square, not oscillating contours. This is known as Motion binding. In this study, we investigate effects of depth information on Motion binding. All stimuli had a same 2D diamond structure, and we added binocular disparity to each contour independently. As results, Motion binding was inhibited when all contours had crossed disparity and when each contour had different disparities. While the combination of the disparity adding each contour also affect the perception of Motion binding. These results indicate that depth information would constraint stronger than 2D structure in Motion binding. |
