Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In our research, we propose Digital Display Case system designed based on conventional display cases which enables museums to convey the background information about their exhibits. We categorized the background information into two categories, the synchronicity and diachronicity. Synchronicity includes relations among exhibits which were made in the same age, while diachronicity includes history or provenance of exhibits. Then we consider how to convey these kinds of information effectively. Based on this consideration we made the interactive exhibition system composed of the case system and the panel system, and made the exhibitions which convey background information about Doguu, Japanese ancient figure. We got review over the system and exhibition from museum, and consider its usefulness.
