| 抄録(和) | 語順のかき混ぜはどのような要因で起こるのか。一因に語句の長さがあると言われている。ただし、語句が長くなると、多くの場合、統語的複雑さが伴う。このため、語句の長さが語順に影響した時、先行研究で用いられた長条件NPの関係節を排除し、より簡潔な修飾句を用いたNPと、加えて、人物名の氏+名の長条件NP・名のみの短条件NPを採用した。簡潔な修飾句を伴うNPによる長さ効果を検証すると同時に、韻律句のサイズ制約が語順に影響を与えるかどうかについても実験した。結果、長さ効果は証明され、韻律句のサイズ制約については予測した語順とは逆の語順への選好性が確認された。 |
| 抄録(英) | The aims of this study are to investigate whether the length of an NP without a relative clause (RC) and the constraint of prosodic phrases affect word order. The previous experimental study (Yamashita and Chang 2001) demonstrated the "long before short" preference in Japanese scrambling, using NPs with RCs. In order to reduce the syntactic heaviness caused by the RCs, we used the NPs with simple modifiers as the experimental items in the sentence recall task. At the same time, the constraint of prosodic phrases was tested if it alternates word order. The results showed the length effect of NPs without RCs and the opposite tendency to the one hypothesized by the constraint of prosodic phrases. |
