Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A 8-way hybrid matrix consists of twelve 3dB-HYBs has a problem how crossed associations, which a connection between a terminal and a desired terminal is needed, are realized. A novel 8-way hybrid matrix structure, combining well four coupled-lines 3dB-HYBs and eight branch-line 3dB-HYBs, is proposed to realize the crossed associations. The 8-way hybrid matrix has advantages which are ease of fabrication and compact size, because vertical connections are unnecessary. A design of the proposed 8-way hybrid matrix using rectangular coaxial line is described. The fabricated this 8-way hybrid matrix shows excellent performances at S-band.
