Abstract(in English) | This paper treats characteristics of periodic structure in the ferrite waveguide under cutoff which include left-handed operation, resonance in the evanescent mode and mode concerned with Bragg reflection. Equivalent circuit model and simulation by HFSS are used to get dispersion characteristic and scattering parameters. New propagation effect at negative permeability region is discussed with backward characteristics. Their characteristics were confirmed with experiments using polycrystalline and single crystal of yttrium iron garnet ferrites. Applications to microwave filter and phase shifter are briefly discussed. |
