Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) As the growth of Fiber to the Home, optical networks are built up in large amounts. Meanwhile, due to multiple laying optical cables to utility poles and ducts, optical cable is required to small diameter and to reduce weight near the end of optical networks. And now, environmental awareness is increasing on a global scale, so environment-friendly manufacturing is required in products design stage. Then, we have proposed a non-metallic low fiber count optical fiber cable that was designed smaller diameter and lighter weight for easy installation, and that was considered about recycling.
