Personal Authentication System Using of Minutia Method and Layered Neural Network for Fingerprints Images

Abstract(in English) We constructed the personal authentication system with learning algorithm of back-propagation using a layered neural network, where the feature points were extracted and the positions of the points were inputted into the units in an input layer, and investigated the performance of the neural network changing the positions of the features extracted from fingerprint images on the system. From the results, we found that the value of the unit in the output layer decreased with increasing the number of the feature points in positions. Therefore the system is useful for high performance of the authentication system.
