Abstract(in Japanese) | (See Japanese page) |
Abstract(in English) | The characteristic behavior of silkworm moth with the pheromone has been a model system for understanding neural network from a sensory perception to the behavior. Therefore, there are a lot of experimental data about the morphology and reaction of principal neurons in a moth brain, but integration of the information has been difficult because of the difference of individuals used for the experiments. Uniformalized information under a common brain coordinate has been also crucial for unifying the data from the different physiological experiments. In this study, we developed a protocol for standardizing the morphological data of brains and constructed a standard brain of silkworm moth. Additionally, we registered brain regions extracted from different brain samples to the standard brain and discussed future utilization of the standard brain with the database of brain experimental data. |
