Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) A fusion of a simple genetic algorithm and a Boltzmann machine (FSG ABM) is suggested here, as a new architecture, in which the two components are closely fused. A test problem, i.e., a pattern restoration, is also proposed, and the FSGABM and the SGA with elitism (SGAEL) were compared with respect to the power spectrum. Then, the FSGABM was able to generate effective evolution, and when the 1/f power spectrum in the low frequency region was examined, it implied long-range time-correlation. In contrast, the SGAEL was unable to generate such effective evolution, and the corresponding spectrum indicated no significant long-range time-correlation.
