Some Trials for Designing Biosignal Refereed On-Time Control of Power Assisted Bicycles during Climbing

Abstract(in English) We have studied a control scheme of power assisted bicycles using biosignals. In the current method, surface EMG and ECG are measured and the assistance ratio is adjusted every five pedaling. However, the method has a drawback that it needs longer time to get sufficient assistance during climbing. In this study, we examined a new assist control scheme to establish sufficient assistance even for climbing course.
