Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Morphing is one of the techniques that generate the interpolation image between those shapes, to express changing from a shape to another shape by animation. The application of this technique are the generation of the medical image in the medical system, and image generation between the words in the system making example sentence of finger spelling. In these systems, take a lot of trouble to generate because it is necessary to prepare the interpolation groups between all images in advance. On the other hand, Self-Organizing Map (SOM) can interpolate between data using the proximity relationship on data space, by topological mapping that held the proximity relationship of the input data set given when learning. In this study, we proposed a method of applying the data interpolation by SOM to the image data, and demonstrated the effectiveness.
