Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we name the images obtained by mapping dots from defect inspections as secondary images. We propose a method of extracting informations for specifying the causes of distinctive structural patterns that appear in the secondary images. We suggest a light process in order to obtain a real time inspection and feature extraction process at the same time. The patterns that appear in the secondary images are lines, aggregated patterns which we call "islands", and random dots. In this study we focus on the recognition of "island" patterns. Our method is robust to the variation of average dot densities of the secondary image and the recognition results can be adjusted to the recognition results of skilled mechanics.
