Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Two-dimensional matrix codes are widely used in order to connect advertisement to web-pages. However, the codes are printed small in the advertising in order not to impair advertising design. Therefore, this annoys observers who intend to use the codes and caused longer information acquisition time. Moreover, it seems difficult to combine functionality and visible sophistication of the advertising in digital signage systems because the resolutions of electronic displays are lower than that of printed materials. In order to overcome this problem, we propose an adaptive expansion of displayed code size triggered by observer's approach. Experimental result suggests that (1) it is possible to shorten acquisition time by five seconds in optimal case, and (2) optimal expansion time of 2-D matrix code is approximately 250 ms.
