Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Gustatory sensation is based on chemical signals whereas the visual sensation and auditory sensation are based on physical signals. Therefore there are few studies on gustatory display. In our research, we aim at the realization of gustatory display and propose the method to present tastes by using multimodal feedback. This paper reports on a prototype system that lets us feel various tastes without changing its chemical composition by superimposing virtual color and fundamental experiment to evaluate the influence of Cross-modal Effects of Superimposing Virtual Color.
