Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Over the past few years, studies have been performed on filter generation methods for image processing with genetic algorithm (GA) or genetic programming (GP). The existing methods generate various filters by combining existing primitive filters, and facilitate development of image processing filter. Automatic generation methods for list and tree-structured image processing filter were proposed. In recent years a method for network-structured filter generation by GA has been proposed. Toward improvements of the network-structured filter generation method, this paper applies the method to traffic sign extraction problem, and analyses obtained network-structured filters.
