Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The present study is to propose the automatic storyboard generation based on the description of events in the scenario. The storyboard embodies a series of image to make a film. Each storyboard was automatically generated through two processes. At the first process, each event described in the scenario is converted into the situation frame including information necessary to generate some storyboards. Then at the second process, some storyboards are derived from the shot selection rules on the basis of the predicate information involved in the situation frame. The shot selection rules were preliminarily determined by reference to the grammar of film language. As a result, we could confirm with the algorism that generates a series of storyboards from a scenario automatically.
