Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) In this paper, we propose a novel method for estimating a user's dependence on advices, that is given by a potential supporting system, for the purpose of selecting appropriate supports by the system. In this method, a user's head orientations and gazing directions are observed, and degree of dependence is estimated by their changes or durations. In this paper, we first show our hypothesis on how head orientations and gazing directions change, then verify the hypothesis by our experiments on virtual and real cooking. We next propose a method for estimating the degree of dependence using those features. In our experiments, the performance of the proposed method was about 50% to 85%.
