Agent Design for Activating Communication at Mealtime

Abstract(in English) The importance of communication supporting becomes large with the progress of welfare society. This paper proposes an agent architecture of activating communication at mealtime. The agent can gather episodes concerned with tastes and so on, make person recall his memory, and activate their communication. We analyzed mealtime dialog and designed functions of the agent. At the first stage of research, we implemented the communication supporting agent and evaluated utterance timing. This outcome can be applied to menu planning, cooking navigation, and dementia prevention program.
