Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) It is not easy to estimate the position of the users in indoor environments from the view points of facility costs and usability of the positioning device. We developed a positioning system that uses "Image Map" consisting of omnidirectional panoramic images. Robust image matching using PCA-SIFT and fast nearest neighbor search algorithm based on Locality Sensitive Hashing (LSH) enables us to estimate user's position with high accuracy and in a short time. We conducted experiments at the railway museum and confirmed its effectiveness.
