Abstract(in English) | We fabricated photonic crystal directional coupler switches controlled by micro-heater. One of the two eigenmodes of the directional coupler has constant-frequency region by structural modification. The optical switch with the length 5tm was accomplished by the special dispersions. The switching speed of the device for 1360nm wavelength region is ~ 4μs with the power of 12.1mW, and the speed of the device for 1550nm is 5 ~ 7μs with the power of 5.3mW. |
