Abstract(in English) Two-dimensional (2D) photonic-crystal (PC) lasers, which produces surface emission from a large, coherent lasing area, have potential to realize a high-power single-mode semiconductor laser. The lattice symmetry of the photonic crystal laser has only been triangular or square lattice structure. However, the analysis of more general lattice, which is centered-rectangular lattice, gives us comprehensive understanding of 2D resonant condition. Here, we report the analysis of the resonant condition in the 2D lattice structure and the experimental results of the centered-rectangular lattice PC laser.
