Abstract(in English) Mode Field Converter for connecting photonic-crystal waveguide for chromatic dispersion compensator to single mode fibre is presented. The photonic-crystal waveguide has the core consisting of silicon nitride rectangular block and thin silicon layer underlying the waveguide with periodic silica pillar. The mode field converter has two taper shape waveguides for converting mode field. One is made of Si_3N_4 waveguide and the other is of silicon waveguide. It provides low loss connection between the photonic crystal waveguide and the fibre. The optical properties of the mode field converter are discussed with experimental and simulation results.
