Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) Comparative difference in dialogue interaction styles are demonstrated based on an empirical examination of a set of task-oriented dialogue corpus data for Japanese, English and Arabic. An idea of cultural parameters is then proposed to provide a framework for characterizing apparent differences in dialogue interaction styles from people with different cultural backgrounds. Their position in computational theory of dialogue will also be discussed.
