Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have proposed a search error risk minimization method in Viterbi beam search for speech recognition. In this approach, we aim to solve a classification problem to determine if each hypothesis should be pruned or not based on its features at each time frame during the decoding process. To optimize the classifier so as to minimize the search error risk, we utilize a set of lattices generated by the decoder, which can be assumed as a profile of the decoding process. By using these lattices, parameters of the classifier can be estimated efficiently. In this paper, we report evaluation results with large-scale tasks such as CSJ and open domain spoken QA tasks, and discuss in terms of relationship between decoding speed and accuracy, and the amount of training data.
