Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) This paper studies dynamics of a simple bifurcating neuron to which spike-train input is applied a refractory threshold. The bifurcating neuron exhibits two kinds of firings: self-firing occured by threshold operation of the slave itself and compulsory-firing caused by the input pulse from the master. Repeating these firings, the network exhibits various synchronization phenomena This bifurcating neuron operate integrate-and-fire dynamics and can exhibit rich periodic orbits that is super-stable for initial state. Its dynamics can be analyzed precisely by embedded a spike-position map. The phase Map is piecewise linear and basic bifurcation phenomena can be clarified theoretically. We then clarify effects of the refractoriness on the encoding function of the system.
