Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) For decreasing dead spot in macrocell system, many attentions have been paid to AF (amplify-and-forward) relay in which received signal is amplified and retransmitted. In this paper, we compare the downlink performance between multiple SISO (Single Input Single Output) AF relay nodes and single MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) AF relay node, which are placed within indoor environment and relay the transmitted signal from macrocell base station to indoor user terminals in LTE/LTE-Advanced. The results of system level simulation show that two SISO AF relay nodes have almost same performance of 2x2 MIMO AF relay node.
