Abstract(in English) | Communication quality degradation at cell-edge areas (cell-edge problem) is a big problem in conventional cellular systems. Base Station Cooperation Multi-User MIMO (BSC-MU-MIMO) is considered to solve the cell-edge problem. However, performance improvement of BSC-MU-MIMO depends on the combination of selected user locations. Furthermore, user scheduling of multi-user MIMO needs much complexity for user selection. This paper proposes a user combination selection from the aspects of both statistical and instantaneous characteristics of propagation channels. First, based on theoretical analysis result, an appropriate area for user cooperation called as cooperative cell is denned. In the second step, the proposed user scheduling only selects user combinations in the cooperative cell. Thus, it is possible to select user combinations of better channel states, and reduces user selection complexity. |
