Abstract(in English) | The multi-user distributed antenna system (DAS) promises an excellent link quality and improved coverage through coordinated transmission and processing. When the base stations (BSs) have downlink channel state information, the system using sophisticated precoding at the BSs can simplify multi-user receivers through interference suppression. This paper reveals the performance of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) precoding using the two-way MIMO channel estimation technique. When a linear precoding with a channel inversion technique is applied, the transmitters adjust their own transmit power so as to maintain a constant received power. As the result, the precoded wave form has a high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) in the case of deep channel fades. To overcome this problem, Tomlinson-Harashima precoding (THP) , a non-linear precoding using a modulo operator, is introduced. In the DAS, the transmit power is very low because of the short communication distance. Therefore, it is expected that the power loss caused by such high PAPR signals is small. The experimental results demonstrate that linear precoding has good performance compared to the THP in the DAS. |
