Abstract(in English) | Highly efficient multihop networks can be realized with MIMO two-way relaying techniques. Recently, power allocation and routing have been considered to potentially alleviate the interference issue in wireless networks. However, the optimal routing, precisely the placement of the relay nodes, and the optimal power allocation are two interdependent factors. Therefore, this paper analyzed the impact of relay placement on the end-to-end capacity of power-controlled MIMO two-way multihop networks. By assuming a simplified path loss model, we formulated and efficiently solved the joint optimization of relay placement and power allocation problems using a geometric programming approach. The numerical analysis showed a significant capacity improvement and power reduction with an optimal relay placement especially at high SNR. Therefore, it will be of interest to design near-optimal and distributed routing and power control algorithms for MIMO two-way multihop networks. |
