Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of broadband single carrier (SC) signal using frequency-domain square root Nyquist filter decreases as filter roll-off factor α increases. Furthermore, an additional frequency diversity gain can be obtained by use of excess bandwidth introduced by the transmit filtering. However, if the carrier frequency separation is kept the same as in the case of α=0, the larger multi user interference (MUI) is produced as α increases and this significantly degrades the bit error rate (BER) performance and throughput performance. In this paper, in order to improve the transmission performance of uplink SC-FDMA using frequency-domain filtering, we propose a frequency-domain parallel MUI cancellation (FD-PMUIC) while achieving the frequency diversity gain by spectrum combining. The achievable BER performance and throughput performance is evaluated by computer simulation.
