Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) The Optical Code-Division Multiplexing(OCDM) is expected as a high capacity and secure communication system. In the OCDM receiver system, the low voltage noise pulses are superimposed on the decoded signal due to mutual correlation between the main signal and the multiplexed other signals. To reduce the noises from the received OCDM signals, a new electrical time gating method has been designed and evaluated. In this method, the noise reduction is executed after O/E conversion. This noise reduction system consists of a high speed switching circuit with narrow gating pulses synchronized to the clock signal. The experiment shows a bit-error rate improvement of up to over 10^<-8>.
