Optical Wireless LAN Integrated Systems with Illumination Function

Abstract(in English) In order to use the illumination light to structure an indoor high-speed optical wireless LAN (Local Area Networks), an visible-light accesspoint with illumination function is developed as the base station for the downlink of information transmission by modulating rapidly the spatial illumination light. An infrared bidirectional wireless terminal with the function of single-axis omnidirectional automatic tracking is also developed for the uplink of information transmission by using the optical direction technique. Furthermore, a communication method of spatial full-duplex CSMA/CD (Carrier Sense Multiple Access with Collision Detection) based on the protocol in Ethernet 100BASE-TX is proposed to realize 1-to-n optical wireless multiaccess. Using developed communication equipments and proposed communication method, the illumination-light wireless LAN with the affinity of the wire LAN can be implemented in an enclosures information environment.
