| 抄録(和) | アダプティブディミング方式の調光係数の計算を簡略化する方法を提案した。提案方法では、大まかな調光係数決定後、調光ブロックの発光プロファイルを考慮して、輝度が不足する箇所と調光係数補正ブロックを特定し、調光係数を補正する。提案方法をテスト画像に適用したところ、従来方法に比べ消費電力は最大で7.5%増加したが、従来と同等の消費電力低減効果を得られることがわかった。また、クリッピング率は0.04%以下、出力画像と入力画像の輝度差は0.45%以下となり、画像再現性を十分に維持できることがわかった。提案方法の演算時間は従来方法の1/600であった。 |
| 抄録(英) | A simple algorithm for determining dimming factor in an adaptive dimming technique is proposed. In the method, firstly the dimming factors are roughly deteremined according to the maximum signal of each block. Then the factors are adjusted to compensate for the lack of luminance causesd by the broadened luminance distribution of each block. Computer simulation shows that the increase in power is less than 7.5%, implying the proposed method has equivalent power saving effect. In addition, the clipping ratio is less than 0.04% and the luminance difference between output images and input images is less than 0.45%. The calculation time of the proposed method is about 1/600 times shorter than that of the previous method. |
