Abstract(in Japanese) (See Japanese page)
Abstract(in English) We have examined reactions between some kinds of volatile organic compounds and an element which was made of a porous glass impregnated with both a Schiff's reagent and a phosphoric acid or a sulfuric acid. It was found that both elements reacted with some kinds of aldehydes, limonene, 2-methyl-3-butene-2-ol, and sensor element's spectra were chaged. A color of a phosphoric acid sensor element after an exposure to one kind of VOC was different from that of a sulfuric acid sensor element, therefore a compound that was exposed to sensor elements could be estimated by a color combination of two elements.
